Hello! I'm Xenterra, or Xen if you want to get wild with it!For a long time I've held anxiety about having an online presence, worried I'd get too caught up in numbers and become demoralized, worried I wouldn't be able to stick to a schedule, worried I might let people down. And, afterall, my art is just for me, so there's no real reason to share it unless I have a specific goal, right?Well, in 2025 I was finally able to receive medication for my moderate-severe ADHD and, while I still have lots of worries, I am a lot better about keeping a consistent workflow. I started finishing art on a scale I'd never been able to do before! And as my workflow started changing, my confidence started changing and my mindset started changing too! I've found I DO have a specific goal in mind for my work.Fandom has always been important to me, even before I knew what fandom was. As a child me and my friend would play, "imaginary boyfriend," which was mostly just us crushing on Danny Phantom. She grew out of it, I never did. I still have, "imaginary boyfriends," and husbands...and girlfriends..and wives. I think it's very important for everyone to have a form of escape when the burden of reality becomes overwhelming. And in these days when so many people are, rightfully, in fear of being true to themselves, it is even moreso important! So there is my goal! I want to provide ideas and art for fandom spaces, as much as I can for as long as I can! To spread a little fun and joy and to give myself and my followers a break from the stress of reality! To create a community where we can sit and enjoy all the fictional hotties of the world!

Visualizers

The thing about commissions is that each person has different expectations and desires for their piece. It is part of my job as the artist to get as close to that mark as possible! These visualizers have been designed as a starting point to help get us on the same page!

Index

Style

I currently offer two styles for commissions to be ordered in: sketchy and refined!

Sketchy

The "Sketchy" style is my first pass for refining my base sketch. Lines are thicker and more gestural, shading and details are minimal, and there may be minor anatomical or perspective mistakes.

Refined

The "Refined," style is a cleaned up version of, "sketchy." It includes shading, lines are finer and the piece is overall more detailed!

Here are some 1-to-1 close-ups of the differences between the two styles:

Commission Types

Commission types set the base for what your commission will include, if you're looking to capture a single scene or multiple!

Single Images

Single images can either feature a solo character or couple. Two larger background items such as: beds, couchs, trees, etc. as well as three smaller, "prop items," such as cigarettes, guns, books can be included without incurring upcharges.

Sketch Pages

Sketch pages can show either a solo character or a couple. Sketch pages do not come with backgrounds beyond basic textures, if you wish to include background elements, there will be an upcharge. Three smaller props, such as cigarettes, guns, or books can be included without any upcharge.

Comics

Comics do not have a set price and will be determined on individual basis. All comics must be able to fit within a 2:3 aspect ratio. Below are some templates for how comics could be layed out!

Custom Commissions

Custom commissions are for any ideas you may have that do not fit within my predefined guides. They will be priced individually based off what is desired.

Upcharges

Upcharging is not something I like doing and it's something I hope to avoid with my newfangled, "price estimator," however it is all about balance and there may be situations that my calculatior doesn't count for. Below are a list of things that could trigger an upcharge:

  • If background elements are highly detailed/specific. (A Queen Anne style couch is more time consuming to draw than a modern, boxy style couch)

  • If the character(s) are highly detailed, in dress or design. (Cyborgs/robots with tiny details and elements or characters in full victorian, gothic style garb are going to take more time.)

  • If the posing or angle that is desired is overly complex or difficult

  • More than what has been shown/described within the visualizers is desired

Of course pricing will always be discussed beforehand and there are absolutely no hard feelings if you decide to change your mind! I never want anyone to feel pressured or like they have to go through with a commission if they're unsure or anxious!

Color

Deciding how I was going to color commissions has been one of my biggest challenges, namely because I like to play around and try new techniques. Which works fine for my personal works! It is not, however, consistent, which is something commission work needs to be so that clients know, roughly, what the final piece will look like! This style of coloring is what I have decided on; for quickness, accuracy, and consistency. It is how all commission work will be colored. There may be personal works of mine that look different from this coloring, those pieces are not an accurate representation for how your commission could look. Please reference this section or my commission only socials to get a better idea of how your commission could look colored!
